Cadiclo AQ Injection

Uses / Indications:

• Rheumatoid arthritis

• Osteoarthritis

• Ankylosing spondylitis

• Post-operative pain

• Renal colic

• Musculoskeletal pain

• Dental pain

• Gout attacks

• Sports injuries

Dosage & Administration:

• Adult dose: Usually 75 mg (3 ml) once or twice a day via deep intramuscular injection in the gluteal region.

• The total daily dose should not exceed 150 mg.

• Recommended for short-term use only (not more than 2-3 days).

• Use under strict medical supervision.

Mechanism of Action:

Diclofenac inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins, chemicals responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever.

Side Effects:

Common:

• Pain or swelling at the injection site

• Nausea or vomiting

• Gastric discomfort or indigestion

• Headache

• Dizziness

Serious (rare but possible):

• Gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers

• Hypertension

• Liver or kidney dysfunction

• Allergic reactions like rash, itching, or anaphylaxis

• Cardiovascular events (with long-term use)

Precautions:

• Avoid in patients with peptic ulcers, liver or kidney disease, or cardiac issues

• Not recommended in pregnancy (especially 3rd trimester)

• Avoid alcohol and other NSAIDs

• Use cautiously in elderly patients

• Not suitable for children unless advised by a physician

Storage:

Store in a cool and dry place below 25°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
